Heels Therapeutic Bodywork
Massage from Head to Heels

HSA or FSA

Heels Therapeutic Bodywork is classified as a Therapeutic Massage facility. As such I am able to accept most payments for services via an HSA (Health Savings Account), FSA (Flexible Spending Account.)

If you have an HSA, or FSA—your debit card should work here (some exemptions apply), and your session (not including tips, which should be paid separately) will be considered an eligible and reimbursable medical expense if your doctor recommends any of our therapies to treat a specific physical or mental ailment. They may do so via either a written prescription or a letter of medical necessity.

Examples of illnesses that could qualify include carpal tunnel syndrome, stress, back pain, arthritis, diabetes, hypertension, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, and pain management. If you have been suffering from any of these conditions, including stress, let your doctor know that you are participating in an HSA, or FSA plan—and that you'd like to use some of your funds for treatment via one or more of the therapies I provide.

On the prescription or the letter of medical necessity (which I do not need, but you should file in case you are asked to justify the expense) your doctor should indicate:

  1. The diagnosis of the condition requiring treatment (such as: stress disorder, back pain, sciatica, acute or chronic pain, etc.)
  2. The primary purpose of the therapy (for example, to relieve stress, to help relieve back pain, etc.)
  3. The suggested frequency and duration of the treatments (for example, weekly sessions for at least 6 months)
